Dr. Anna O’Keefe

Dr. Anna O’Keefe’s journey to dentistry began in Spokane, WA, when she realized she hadn’t seen a dentist until age 12 — sparking a fascination with smiles and a curiosity about how oral health shapes our confidence and well-being. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Colby College in Maine, followed by her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated magna cum laude, received the Academy of General Dentistry award, and was inducted into the Omega Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.

After three years serving patients at a nonprofit community dental clinic, Dr. O’Keefe joined her mentor’s private practice in Waterville. In 2017, she purchased the practice and has since built it into Snow Pond Dentistry — a place where high-level dentistry meets the warmth of small-town Maine hospitality. She continues to expand her expertise through active membership in the Spear and Seattle Study Clubs and is a past president of her local Maine Dental Association chapter. Her published research in the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry reflects her commitment to excellence in all aspects of care.

Known for her meticulous attention to detail, Dr. O’Keefe believes in giving every patient all their options — regardless of age, background, or circumstance. Whether she’s restoring a full smile, placing a same-day crown, or simply getting to know a new patient, she treats each person with the respect, integrity, and personal attention she’d give a friend or family member.

Dr. Courtney Churchill

Dr. Courtney Churchill grew up in Fairfield, Maine, and knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. While still in high school, she began working for a local oral surgeon at just 17 years old. This early experience gave her firsthand exposure to the profession and solidified her passion for helping people improve their health and confidence through dentistry.

She went on to earn her undergraduate degree in Medical Biology from the University of New England. Continuing her education there, Dr. Churchill received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine.

Following graduation, Dr. Churchill practiced in Portland and Augusta, gaining valuable experience while working her way back to central Maine to be closer to home. These early years in practice helped her refine her clinical skills and develop a patient-centered philosophy focused on trust, communication, and comprehensive care.

Dr. Churchill is committed to lifelong learning and continually expanding her clinical knowledge. She participates in Breakwater Seminars, an extension of the Casco Bay Study Club, where aspiring young dentists collaborate and focus on delivering excellence in comprehensive treatment planning and patient care.

Known for her warm and approachable demeanor, Dr. Churchill strives to create a comfortable environment where patients feel heard and supported. Whether she is helping a patient maintain their oral health or restoring their smile, her goal is to provide thoughtful, high-quality care that helps every patient feel confident in their smile.

Treatments designed for you

1

A warm welcome

From the moment you arrive, we greet you by name and introduce you to our new patient coordinator, who’s already spent time getting to know you over the phone.

2

Comprehensive records

Your visit begins with a complete set of diagnostic records — including full-mouth X-rays, a panoramic scan, extraoral photos, and a digital intraoral scan with our CEREC system.

3

A personal, thorough exam

Dr. O’Keefe or Dr. Watts will spend about an hour with you, performing a full exam, oral cancer screening, and periodontal charting, while discussing your health history, diet, and prior dental experiences.

4

Co-discovery and planning

Using photos and scans, we’ll review your findings together and walk through all your treatment options. For patients with more complex restorative needs, we also offer an additional dedicated Smile Design visit — a longer, more in-depth consultation that allows us to coordinate care with specialists when needed. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of your oral health and next steps.

The Snow Pond Dentistry difference

Our patients are also our neighbors, friends, and community members — and that shapes everything we do. Here, advanced dentistry is paired with small-town Maine values: integrity, hospitality, and relationships that last for years. You’ll find an office built for your comfort, a team obsessed with quality, and dentists who treat every patient like family.

Deep community roots

Many of our patients find us through personal recommendations, and our close-knit team has spent years building trust with families across Oakland and central Maine. We believe in treating people the way we’d want our own loved ones to be treated — with kindness, honesty, and a genuine commitment to your well-being.

Advanced restorative expertise

From CEREC same-day crowns to full-mouth reconstructions, we use proven techniques, high-quality labs, and state-of-the-art technology to deliver results that last.

A space that feels like home

With treatment room windows overlooking our meadow, a library-style waiting area, and views of Maine’s natural beauty, our office is designed to help you relax and feel at ease.

A first visit that sets the tone

Our comprehensive new patient experience includes 90+ minutes of personal attention, detailed diagnostics, and co-discovery — so you understand your health, your options, and your path forward.

Thoughtful touches to keep you comfortable

Light-filled lobby with a library feel

Our waiting area features panoramic windows, comfortable seating, and bookshelves stocked with Maine authors.

Beverage station

Enjoy boxed or alkaline water while you wait. Coffee and tea are also available.

Quiet, private treatment rooms

Select rooms have doors for added privacy, and most rooms have scenic views of the surrounding meadow.

Technology that enhances your care

CEREC same-day crowns

Once we’ve completed your comprehensive exam and determined a crown is the right treatment for you, we can design, create, and place it in just one visit. That means no temporary crowns, no return trips for placement — just a stronger, healthier smile the very same day.

3D printing

We print models and custom night guards (also called occlusal guards) in-house, giving you a precise fit and a faster turnaround time. This technology lets our doctors fine-tune every detail, so your guard is both comfortable and effective from day one.

Digital scanning

Our intraoral scanner creates precise computer models of your teeth, making the process faster, cleaner, and far more comfortable. No messy putty required!

Giving back to our community

Supporting our community is at the heart of what we do. From partnering with the Maine Children’s Home for their annual Christmas Drive, to donating dental supplies to local middle and high schools, to sponsoring the Waterville Public Library’s Nosh and Knockoff murder mystery fundraiser, we’re proud to give back in ways that matter. These partnerships allow us to stay connected, support local organizations, and help strengthen the community we’re honored to serve.
